ELSA at the International Conference on Energy Storage

24.11.2015, Rueil-Malmaison, France

On the 24th of November, Eric Portales represented the ELSA project at the International Conference on Energy Storage 2015, which was held in Rueil-Malmaison, France. The conference was organised by The Oberservatory for Innovation in Energy (O.I.E.), the Tuck Foundation, and Sun'R Smart Energy (SmE).

The main topic of the conference was electricity storage and its aim was to share and promote novel ideas and knowledge around energy storage, considered as one of the most promising ways to support the growth of intermittent Renewable Energy Sources. But except for the current developments with respect to isolated territories, the real potentials of this market are quite uncertain at the moment. Therefore, the questions addressed during the conference were why, where, when, how and at what price to store electricity.

Around 100 experts from the Renewable Energy and the Storage domains, mainly from France, but also from other European countries, took part in the conference.
