ELSA at Tyndall Technology Days 2017
This year’s Tyndall Technology Days - Innovation for Industry - occurred on Wednesday, 25 October, at Páirc Uí Chaoimh Conference Centre, Cork, Ireland. It focused on emerging trends in the EU’s future communications, smart manufacturing, energy management, med-tech and smart drug delivery systems, serving as a forum for cutting-edge technical demonstrations and lively discussion.
The conference also featured a roster of top-tier presenters including Murilo Bonilha, General Manager of United Technologies Research Centre Ireland, Ltd., who addressed the role of buildings in the future digital energy grid. Audience response was enthusiastic, with many questions asked which spawned much dialogue among attendees. Of particular interest was UTRC Ireland’s suggested sustainable and replicable solutions for energy management systems in integrated buildings - based on its experience at ELSA’s Ampere E+ test site in Paris.
ELSA’s role in establishing a foundation for smart buildings throughout Europe was also discussed, with conversation centering on the development and implementation of new energy methodologies that are faster, more reliable and more interactive.
